This book was given to me as a present from an old lover. He said it was the greatest love story ever. Maybe it is and maybe it isn't - nevertheless it is a fantastic tale. It is a satire in the extreme about the devil coming to Moscow and the love between a writer and his mistress. Surreal humour and a fantastic story. A masterpiece.
