I got these just after New Year's... and promptly forgot to log them in! SO SORRY!!! I will get some reviews written and get them back on their way this weekend! Thanks!!
evilrottenspawn asked to be skipped for now. sending on to omly. Great series! Thank you, phantomreader42!
Nope, I will not give in to the urge to give each of the last books a similar message. Each of the others got their own, the last few deserve no less. Eight books in one box though! How exciting is that? I am so glad I got a chance to be a part of this bookring. I mean how many opportunities like this do you get?
Reading this volume I found myself often reflecting on what I found. For example I thought it interesting that Freya is presented all in white and Edna in black, only to have those colors reversed later. Why does Freya see herself/Chi see Freya in black internally?
Also I found this quote, which I wan't to bring up: "Having children isn't all there is to life, and it's not the reason for loving someone. Happiness can come in different forms and in different ways... Happiness doesn't come in just one shape." ~Ichiro Hihara
Though the context is different, this made me think of all of the opponents to gay marriage who cite the fact that such couples can not reproduce as a reason why their relationship is not as valid/eligible for marriage. I happen to agree with Ichiro here. While love can certain expand to include children, the ability to truly love does not derive from the need/ability to have children.
Tons of backstory here. Finally a lot of the questions of Chi's past get answered, though I have to admit the back and forth between characters doing the explaination was a little bit frustrating at points. I am very glad I had the final book on hand, because stopping now would have been torturous.
Note: The package with this series was mailed 11/29/05 to tho.
