In this story, Franklin's grandparents can't make it for Thanksgiving. He is very disappointed. So, he decides to invite some friends to join him. His Mom and Dad have the same idea, but they don't tell each other about it. So, Thanksgiving turns out to be a big surprise with many guests to join in the celebration. They have a wonderful time and plan to do it again the following year.
