Foundation
2 journalers for this copy...
The Old Empire was crumbling into ancient barbarism through the million worlds of the galaxy. Hari Seldon and his band of psychologists must creatge a new life - the Foundation - dedicated to art, science, and technology as the beginnings of a new civilization. This the first of Isaac Asimov's classic Foundation Trilogy, written in the 1950s, and later expanded into a 6 or 7 book series. But start here...
I found this paperback at a thrift shop in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Of course, I have my own copy! This one is for bookcrossing, and hopefully to hook some new soul on science fiction forever.

Journal Entry 2 by TomHl at Higher Ground Coffee House in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin USA on Wednesday, August 4, 2004
Released on Wednesday, August 04, 2004 at Higher Ground Coffee House in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin USA.
I went hunting for another book that had been released here about two weeks ago, but I couldn't find it. I probably confused the staff with my abbreviated description of bookcrossing. O well. I left this book on the coffee table in the middle of the shop.

I stoped into Higher Ground this evening on my way home to Milwaukee from Watertown. Found this sitting on the shelf with the other free books.
I have read this book a few times and absolutely love it. One of the best Sci-Fi series out there.
Will be releasing this book back into the wild as I have my own copy already.
