I thought I'd try this because I still enjoy children's books, but it just wasn't something I really appreciated. I hope to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it.

Hopefully, the person who will appreciate this is goodthinkingmax - book was posted off today and hopefully arrives by the weekend.

Thank you Puppymummy for this trade. I just read 28 pages of this and it only just arrived so I will probably have it finished by the end of the day! Lemony Snicket's books are beautifully designed with the lovely illustration on the front and unusual cover.

I had better begin looking for the others in this series as I'm sure I will want to know what happens next....

I read this easily in one hit. I quite liked the story but the writing didn't really draw me in. I will read the others in the set at some point to see what happens to the children! It's lovely to see such an attractive book with its gorgeous cover.

This was on tantan's wishlist so off to her it goes...I couldn't bring myself to wild release this one.

Received today with many thanks to goodthinkingmax. It's going on the TBR pile to wait its turn, which hopefully won't be too far away.

I absolutely loved this little book! It was a wonderfully fast and humourous read. The story was entertaining, and I'm looking forward to reading the further adventures of Violet, Klaus and Sunny. These will definitely keep me occupied during the wait for the last Harry Potter! :-)

My husband will probably will read it, and then the book will head off to another willing reader.

I've often been tempted to buy this book. It looks very attractive (always important in a book) and the story sounds interesting, so I am glad to have found this in the AGB ##.

I was a bit disappointed with this book. It's a shame that a book that looks that good is so ordinary. I wondered if children don't get annoyed with the constant explanations (this means...)in the book, they drove me mad!
The general idea of the story is quite good but I found the writing too tedious.
My boys read the book and seemed to enjoy it (I can't get them to join bookcrossing, so no JE's from them).

Thanks mummafour! The book arrived during my vacation.

Edit 4/11/09: Was with tiger-kuh-katze for some time. She didn't like it very much.

Wow, I can't belive how long it has taken me to finally read this book! It wasn't my cup of tea. It was interesting (and short) enough for me to finish the book, but I wasn't really into it. I guess I don't like books where only bad stuff happens and there's not even a happy ending. I won't continue with this series.

I'll probably leave it on a public bookshelf or in a OBCZ in Heidelberg on my trip there in July with a friend who's also a bookcrosser.
