I bought this as part of a 3 for 2 deal at Borders on Charing Cross Road. This is a crime novel set in Sweden - I like it already.

This was a very subtle mystery. Set in the far north of Sweden - and yes, I want to go there now! - it is the story of a former Nazi who is hiding out in the forest and is mysteriously murdered. The lead cop is a guy who has just been diagnosed with cancer and uses the case as a means for taking his mind off his troubles but also to question who he is and his beliefs. There are some great secondary characters as well.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book. I will be releasing it into the wild for someone else to try, eventually.
