Extra Virgin: Amongst the Olive Groves of Liguria

I really enjoyed this book. My sister-in-law gave it to me to read on the plane on a trip back from Zurich to the US. Having lived in both Germany and Turkey as the daughter of an Air Force man, I really enjoyed the "fish out of water" stories.
This book describes the olive groves of Liguria as a place I'd like to go to tomorrow! The foods, the produce, the land, etc. sound absolutely lovely :)
Who would like this book? Foodies, history buffs, travel buffs, people who enjoy scenic descriptions, Italiophiles, people who like sister stories, and more. It's a charming book.

I'm sending this to a friend after viewing her 5th anniversary photos. . .which included a visit to Liguria!
I feel compelled to note here that if you have this book and Under the Tuscan Sun on your pile of books to read, read this one and release the other. This is much, much better :)

Received "Extra Virgin" in the mail from my fabulous friend in Colorado (Antof9), and am just about to begin reading it. I'm looking forward to being transported to Liguria once again.
