Tears of the Giraffe

This was a quick read and in fact a better novel than the first book, the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. It continues to follow the life and exploits of Precious Ramotswe, the proprietor of the only female detective agency of Botswana.

Arrived today! Thank you so much! Look forward to reading this one.
I really enjoyed this second book from the NO. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series. In this book, there is more of a focus on Mma Romotswe and her relationship with Mr. J.L.B. Matekoni. I enjoyed this book as much as I liked the first one. I'm hoping to be able to read the third and fourth one soon.

Thanks to all who have passed this book along- I am looking forward to more of the Ladies Detective agency stories. This book has been requested by Chomper when I finish. I should be able to read it within a few weeks.
Enjoyed this one just as much as the first, maybe more since it didn't include the painful but realistic details of Precious's first marriage. I love how this series is so light and amusing while not idealizing things too much. I read this in two days and wasn't ready for it to end. What a pretty cover, too! Looking forward to the rest of the series. Thanks to all who passed it on.

Received in today's mail from Dusties as part of a book relay - thank you so much! I've read the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency and am really looking forward to reading more about Mma Ramotswe!!
This is getting to be a well traveled little book! I just finished it today and thoroughly enjoyed it - it's a quick and easy read - light entertainment. I really like the Botswana setting and the wonderful characters! I think both The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency AND Tears of the Giraffe are excellent books and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series (which I've received recently as a bookring, so it's up next!) I'll be passing Tears of the Giraffe along soon.....
Mailing to Ixion as part of a book relay - ENJOY!
Woohoo! Thanks darling for the book, I appreciate this. Of course, after requesting this, I now realize it's not the first in the series like I thought it was. I'll have to run out and grab the first one so I can read them in order.
07/16/05 -- AM10000 requested this after I'm done reading it.
06/01/06 -- OK, I'm not going to read this anytime soon so I'm sending this to AM10K
