So funny! The second half was better than the first half, but it was all good. I find myself disappointed that I didn't have 5 siblings, crazy parents, a drug habit, and an excuse to move to a foreign country.

Life is strange and funny in this book.

Good Read!
Received this in the post today from bookaholic2, as a RABCK!! This is sooooo awesome because I have been DYING to read this one - it was on my wishlist :) So, barring any unforseen circumstances (bookring arrivals, etc.) I plan to start reading this ASAP!
Thanks again bookaholic2 - I was really happy to get this! :)

It's funny, at first I wasn't sure how much I was into this, and then I couldn't help but giggle during his guitar teacher saga, and as read on, I was feeling that it wasn't really a can't-put-it-down kind of read...... yet, somewhere around the second half, it started to feel that way all of a sudden. I found myself getting into David's head (scary!) and understanding him better (even scarier! lol). By the end of it all, I really enjoyed it - it was kind of like one long, amusing anecdote, in a way. Well-expressed.
My hands-down favourite, laugh-out-loud story though, HAD to be the whole Easter Bell saga! I had to go back when I was finished the book just to read the last two pages in that chapter over a couple more times & chuckle again :)
Thanks again for sharing this with me, bookaholic2!

Will go in the mail today via snail-mail/Canada Post, to WintersQT4ever, as she has generously agreed to do a trade with me for "Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants", which I have been wanting to read.
Thanks again, WintersQT4ever :)
Thanks again, WintersQT4ever :)
I just caught this book through mail and i'll make sure to read it as soon as I can.
This is one of the funniest books I've every read, stupid but really funny. Especially good in parts if you either love or hate the French.

Came today as part of a trade with WintersQT4ever. Thanks!
Do you ever read a book in public and start laughing hysterically and people think you're laughing at them? Well, that happened to me far too often throughout the course of this book. I'd be sitting in the back of my bio class, just a few minutes left, trying to get a few more pages of Sedaris in when I read something that makes me crack up. Everyone looks at me like I'm a mad women and assumes I'm crazy until they see the book I'm reading. Apparently, there is a wide appreciation for David Sedaris. I can't wait to read more of his work.
Thanks for a good trade WintersQT4ever.

I caught this at Caribou...been a bit slow in reading it. I really enjoy hearing Sedaris on "This American Life" with his quirky humor, so this should be an interesting and fun read.
