Hmmm, I thought I had left a more detailed entry here! Oh well...

Things fall apart for the crew of the Enterprise as a most complicated disaster befalls a large salvage operation after the smoke clears from the Dominion Wars... and Picard is forced to fire upon what appears to be a Federation ally, causing the foundations of the Federation to become unstable.

The site of the Dominion War's fiercest battles, the Rashanar Sector now contains a vast interstellar graveyard littered with the lifeless hulks of hundreds of devastated starships. The explosive destuction of so many varied warp drives has severly distorted the space-time continuum in this region, resulting in dangerous unleashed energies and bizarre gravitaional anomalies.
The Enertprise has been assigned to patrol the perimeter of the danger zone, while other vessels carry othe the difficult and highly hazardous task if retieving the bodies of the dead from the wrecked warships.
To some of the alien races, the former battleground is hallowed space. To others, including the rapacious Androssi, it is a scavenger's paradice. ripe for salvage. None expect this ship's graveyard to hold a deadly secret that will force Data to make a heart-wrenching decision about the path his life will take - and that will endanger not only the Enterprise, but Picard's future in Starfleet.

I really enjoyed this book. It was interesting to see how quickly Picard, the pride of Starfleet, becomes an embaressment.

The Star Trek A Time To... bookbox has arrived safe and sound :)
I have a book I am halfway through reading at the moment, but will tackle these 9 ASAP.

I enjoyed this Trek book quite a bit! Nothing like combining sci-fi with good old-fashioned mystery and intrigue :)
I particularly enjoyed Data - he is such a great character. I normally hate Wesley Crusher, but found his Traveller persona to be interesting and really enjoyed him in Chapter 1. Chapter 1 sucked me into the book very well.
Poor Picard, though! Should be fun to find out how he gets out of this pickle he's in.
So, on to book 2......
