The humour and idiocy of the books are back up to scratch again. I preferred this one to the previous Sizzling Sixteen. Stephanie Plum has another hot, good-looking, ex-footballer, and master cook foisted on her by her mum who is determined to get her daughter married. The new man is also keen to get into Steph's good books and turns on the charm with his cooking skills but Steph is having none of it (apart from the well turned out pork chops). She is also being pursued by an unknown psycho who is murdering people and presenting them to Stephanie by way of a note attached to the bodies.

It wasn't too hard to guess who the villain was.
