One of our country's worst workplace disasters, and possibly still the largest number of deaths from a single business in one day: the catalyst for many reforms...but also a terrible human tragedy. Von Drehle manages to present many sides of this event and keeps the memory of many of the lost alive in this fascinating book.

I read this years ago but think it's a story worth sharing. This copy came from Goodwill; larger photo here.
