Please join us this September and October for our 2018 Community Read:
Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman
In this book for readers of all ages and backgrounds, a young immigrant girl plants lima beans to connect with her deceased father. Her small act inspires her neighbors to turn an empty lot into a bountiful garden.
To accompany this book, the High Point Public Library will host a cornucopia of events in September and October that encourage each and every High Point resident to share their own stories of new families, new lands, & new foods—while bringing us together to improve our City’s food insecurity.
