A much easier read than the previous 1001 book I read! I have ‘Arthur & George’ by the same author so curious to see what that’s like.

17 Apr 20 - It seems fitting that I picked this book up and then spotted the films being shown over the weekend. It will be interesting to see how it converts to screen, and I like Jim Broadbent to I’m hoping it’s worth the watch.
As for the book, it’s short and does manage to give you food for thought, how do we really remember things from the past and how reliable is that memory. I was’t sure why he still seemed quite so interested in Veronica and I wasn’t keen on the ending. But a quick read and another ticked off the 1001 list 👍
