How to Be Human: Shortlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize 2018

This is a well-written book but try as I might, I couldn't get into it. There was just such a drear atmosphere to it. I gave up after a while after realising that I was making up excuses NOT to read on an evening whilst it was next to my bed. Wish I could've managed to get further, but sometimes the struggle isn't worth it!

This was an interesting tale as you weren't always sure what was in Mary's head and what was really happening, the added twist being that her neighbour was also having some mental health issues.
I liked the ending too. This was quite different to anything else I've been reading lately so it made a nice change.

Thought Heather had put this back in her bag but she put it on the OBCZ shelf. YeAh!
