I got this slim softcover at the Book Cellar. It's Muir's account of his adventure on an Alaskan glacier in 1880, in company of a little mongrel dog named Stickeen. While I admit to being quite sad that the two parted ways at the end of the story, with Muir never learning the dog's ultimate fate, the account itself is lyrical and riveting.
