The Wedding

I gotta say my cynical mind and pragmatic sense just made me ambivalent about this story. I should have just sent it off without even reading it as it bordered on being a romance novel without the really wealthy character and steamy sex scenes. I guess I draw the correlation because it was so darn predictable from page one. Heck, just the title had my guessing what this would be about, and I was dead on! I am so glad a Nicolas Sparks fan has requested this book as I would love to send it to someone who will actually enjoy it :).

I enjoyed this book, and I honestly was surprised with the ending. It was not one of Nicholas Sparks' best, though. After reading "The Notebook" and knowing this was the sequel, I felt this book was dry and lacking emotion. My favorite part of the book was the swan. Although I did enjoy the book I am concerned that Sparks is starting to get into that "all the books sound the same" spot that a lot of authors get after writing several popular books.
I will be giving this book to a girl at work who is a Sparks fan and is interested in Book Crossing.
