lite tearjerker. Twin story lines. A little boy is losing his Mom to cancer - and on Christmas eve he goes shopping to pick out the perfect gift for when she meets Jesus - a beautiful pair of sequined shoes. But he doesn't have the money, so the guy behind him pays for the shoes. Robert is a driven lawyer - making oodles of money at the expense of his family and relationships. When he noticed the time and love the boy put into the purchase, he put all his last minute thrown together things back - goes home, and tells his family that this year he' s giving the gift of himself....of getting to know them.
