I bought this book at a local charity shop in 2016. In 2017 I was doing a sesquicentennial project involving Canadian literature, so this book has been sitting in a drawer from the end of 2016 until this week, but now I've taken it out!

I've had a lot of time to kill this week, so I have read 3 of these books in 3 days. If I can keep that pace, I should be caught up with all the ones I have by the end of the weekend, lol!

Well, it's 4 in 4 now!

I'm really glad I read this one. I thought it was interesting. I like history, and I don't know tons about the First World War, especially women's roles in it. This was an interesting glimpse at one aspect of that.

Also, at a military remembrance event last August I had the chance to check out a WW1 ambulance up close. I'm not sure why it was at the event as it really didn't fit with what was being remembered/honoured that day (maybe just because it's another piece of military history?) but while I was reading this book I thought of that, and it was pretty cool.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I stopped to pay my respects at the Puslinch Township cenotaph tonight, and while I was there I left this book. It is in a protective bag, hanging from one of the fenceposts in front of the memorial. I have been sharing war stories (especially First World War stories) this weekend to mark the centenary of the Armistice, and this is my last of those releases.

If you've found this book, thanks for picking it up and checking out its journal! If you're new to bookcrossing, welcome. We'd love it if you'd stick around with us a while. I really hope that you enjoy both this book and the whole bookcrossing experience!

This book was released as part of the 2018 "52 Towns in 52 Weeks" Release Challenge. Morriston was Town #45 for me.
