I won this book from GoodReads! This is a novel about a young lady who was freed from slavery after the Civil War and decides to join the US Calvary. There is only one problem, women are not allowed to enlist. Our heroine does not let this stop her. This is a delightful, humorous, sad, and disturbing story. I loved it!
