The Fledgling

I found this at one of the Little Free Libraries in Winnipeg. Although now I can't remember which one. I'm going to take it on a vacation adventure.
I read this while on vacation at the Longe Fisheries family cabin at Kendall Inlet on Lake of the Woods. It was a charming story for children who think they can fly and older folks who think they might just have done so as children. Lots of lessons about love and loss and tolerance and respect.
