I got this ex-library hardcover from the local library's ongoing book sale. It's a collection of poems themed on music, from modern to classical, with multicultural elements and illustrations. Some poems highlight the way music makes one feel; others, such as "Practice Makes... ?", touch on the learning curve: "Cats scratching broken blackboards while a thousand squeaky seesaws tease rusty swing sets."
The backnotes include info on musical terms, and a number of suggested artists to listen to.
