A book of all things "Wimbledon Fortnight" from the year 2016. If you're a big tennis fan, this is a great book, full of all kinds of trivia, from the very first Championship to the year 2016. It was given to me by Tom Tebbutt, the last dedicated (national) tennis journalist in Canada. He has covered Tennis's Grand Slam events for over 25 years and anyone who's a tennis fan, knows Wimbledon is the "toppermost of the poppermost" of the Slams. Accredited journalists covering Wimbledon get a new edition every year, so Tom must have a library's worth by now. On a rainy day (when I can't play tennis), it's a fun book to go through. You'll find things like: the first entrant to wear glasses, the longest match in W'don history, left-handed champions, first woman to wear a short skirt, first man to wear shorts. Royal Family members in the Championship, etc. Ok, ok....I guess you have to be a real tennis geek to love this book as I do!
