A beautiful book - maybe a little less of the fantasy element than I was hoping. But very evocative, and I loved the way the stories were interlinked.

sending on very soon...

This was a really good book. Like the first person I was kind of expecting more fantasy than there was but it was still a nice read. It was fascinating how everything seemed to be connected with something else. I actually finished this on the 27th but I forgot to journal it. This will be sent to the next person soon.

I'm not sure what I think of this book--it was kinda strange. I like the way the stories connected to one another but they were out of sequence. That kind of threw me cuz you would read about someone and then later read about them before this other thing happened. I liked the sexy sexy stuff--it seemed to cover a little of everything. I'm glad I got a chance join the ring to read it--otherwise I doubt I ever would have run across such a book at the local library. All in all, I liked it, even though it left me with a small frown on my brow.

I may skim through it again before I mail it out tomorrow.

Wow, this was a great book! The stories were extremely sensual -- I do not recommend reading this book in public; don't stick it in your purse to read waiting in line at the bank. This is a book you want to savor in private. It's short, and a fast read, but take your time. Go slow. Enjoy yourself.

I agree that the fantasy elements were not as overt as I thought they'd be, but they were definately present, although subtle. Magic runs through these stories like an undercurrent, invisible but forceful all the same. You can't see it, but you sure can feel it!

I loved the character of Plum. I wonder if Francesca Lia Block ever wrote anything else with her in it. I'd like to read more about her.

Sending this on to the next person in the ring.

I enjoyed this book - it was too short, though. :) I also liked how the stories intertwined and were out of sequence as someone else mentioned. I would be interested in reading more by this author...

I've just sent a PM to the next person on the list and will mail this out sometime this week.

UPDATE - sent media mail to spaceystacey on 6/22.
