Mindy Kaling is a familiar face if you're a fan of her show, The Mindy Project, or of The Office. I've never seen the Mindy Project and have only seen a handful of The Office episodes, so I picked this book up based on the fact that it had decent reviews and I was in the mood for something funny and light, as opposed to because I was familiar with her as an actress/writer.
Had I been a Mindy "fan", I may have enjoyed this more. And I have nothing against Mindy at all, but I was really underwhelmed by this series of essays (?), which seemed somewhat oddly arranged and random, and not particularly funny. Overall, this will be a pretty forgettable read for me.
