I got this UK-edition softcover online. It's a collection of Newman's short stories, including one from his "Anno Dracula" universe. Among my favorites:
"Famous Monsters," told as a celebrity memoir of the narrator's career in horror movies - but the narrator's not a human actor, it's a tentacled creature who may be a Martian from War of the Worlds. Very entertaining, and all too believable, at least in a world where alien beings needed to make a living.
"Is There Anybody There?" is an unusual take on seances, with a communicative spirit getting itself bound to the clairvoyant's circle - for an unexpectedly long time.
"The Snow Sculptures of Xanadu", a poignant vignette themed on "Citizen Kane".
"Ubermensch" and "Coastal City" each take a different view of superheroes and what a world that contained them might be like.
"Yokai Town" takes characters from Anno Dracula and has them confined to a special city in Japan, where the Japanese spirits who officially don't exist all must now dwell. (Seems that all yokai are different forms of vampire. Interesting!)
[There's a TV Tropes page on the "Anno Dracula" series, including comments on One Thousand Monsters, the novel of which the short story "Yokai Town" is an introduction.]
