Interesting read, if a little dull at times. A bit dated; I loved the TV sets used in the Fig. 26 illustration of twin brothers, one in a spaceship and one on earth!

I keep reading that Gamow’s writing is great for the layperson to understand, but unless you have some understanding of basic higher math the mathematics in this book will be difficult. But I think, as I did, you will still find the book interesting and may even discover some information that’s new to you and/or produce an Ah-ha moment.

I'm claiming this from the Science and Technology bookbox.

Later: more amusing than I'd expected - the author has a nicely wry sense of humor that pops up here and there. I did have to skim over the more math-intensive bits, but overall I really enjoyed the book.
