The author runs Britain's number one animal insurance specialists, Pet Plan.
Over the years she has kept many letters and stories sent in by owners with their claims, relating the hilarous antics of their pets.
Very amusing

I did not know if I should have been amused or horrified, reading these true stories. Being a cat person, I never realized how much dogs eat weird things!! Most of the entries are about dogs and their odd diets :P There are a few cats in here too, to be fair, doing dumb things.
I have both my cats insured and luckily I have not had to make any major claims so far!
I especially loved the illustrations in this book - very amusing.

Here is a pic of my two boys playing with a 'snake'. ;P

Received this recently and finally am journaling it. Sorry for the little delay. Haven't been able to get on bookcrossing lately. Anyway this was a really cute book. It was interesting to read about what all these pets actually did. Made all my past troublemaker pets look like angels. It was a great book to read and I will send out as soon as possible since it's been a little delayed.

This looks like it will be an interesting read! Thanks for sharing and I will get to it soon.

Journal Entry 17 by mysteryfan03 from Moberly, Missouri USA on Monday, September 20, 2004
This was an interesting book about the escapades of pets!! Wow, how awful for some of these pets and owners!! Thanks for sharing these books!!

Journal Entry 18 by havfaith from Spokane, Washington USA on Sunday, December 12, 2004
Thank goodness! I was beginning to worry that these books had been lost in the mail.

Shouldn't take long to finish these and send them on their way again... =)

Journal Entry 19 by havfaith from Spokane, Washington USA on Sunday, December 12, 2004
A few of the stories were amusing (the crabapple-loving cat) but many incidents were just a result of owner irresponsibility and just sad. Allowing your cat to be beaten up by other animals on the farm for years?! Allowing your cat to be hit bay cars twice and then shot?! Letting your dog continually eat chocolate? This book was more disturbing than entertaining. Just made me sad that these pets weren't taken care of better. =(

Thanks for sharing the books redhouse. Will be heading off to pyan as soon as I have an addy... =)

I can't say that I enjoyed reading these stories as too many bordered on abuse by owners (well, probably ignorance, but still unpleasant to read).

Looking forward to reading! Thanks!

Journal Entry 26 by wingTribefanwing from Raleigh, North Carolina USA on Tuesday, March 22, 2005
Not exactly what I was expecting but I enjoyed reading this none the less! Can any previous readers tell me why cats are also called mogs over in England. I'm very curious! Thanks!

My favorite story was "Don't Leave Me" as it reminds me of our dog, Zeke! He was abused before he came to us and can't stand to be left alone! If he was bigger (he's a Dachsund) I can picture him wrapping himself around our leg trying to stop us from leaving!

Got thisin the mail this week. Looks like fun. My daughter seemed to enjoy it. A little worried about the pages--some of them are pretty loose.

Journal Entry 29 by cmbohn from Orem, Utah USA on Wednesday, July 6, 2005
I have to agree with some of the previous journal entries. Some of these stories were disturbing, at the least. But some were pretty funny. My cats have certainly gotten into enough trouble, even with me looking out for them.

Ready for a new home.
