Quite some years ago the other English group at school read this book, and as I (very) roughly learned what it is about, I thought for years "purple" is a skin color and was rather surprised what purple really is.

I found this book at the "free books" box in the public library in Piran, Slovenia, when I left some books there. As I planned to read more about the purple people to really learn what it is about (if already the title was a misunderstanding....) I was delighted to find the book while I was on holiday and looking for something to read. I sure starts directly, wow. And it is a really good book, which somehow gives me the impression, maybe not everything we read in school was boring and I should give some of these books a second chance.
