I got this slightly-battered softcover from an online seller. It's an alphabet book themed on "women who changed the world," and includes a nice variety of subjects, each of whom gets a mini-bio and an illustration. (There's a bibliography at the back with pointers to further reading.) From pilot Amelia Earhart to United Farm Workers co-founder Dolores Huerta, from computer scientist Grace Hopper to fantasy author Ursula le Guin, from Cherokee leader Wilma Mankiller to Chinese journalist Xiefen, the entries highlight the achievements of women from many races, nationalities, and spheres of influence.
