A terrible and at the same time beautiful tale about a woman’s life in Ireland. This novel is full of haunting memories, some more, some less reliable, fragments of a life. I like the structure of the two interwoven accounts – which are interwoven with Ireland’s history. It’s moving slowly, and written in amazingly beautiful prose.
