Strange how love can blossom in the most unexpected places.
Lale Sokolov a Slovakian Jew , who was given the job of tattooing his fellow inmates with their identity numbers, fell in love with Gita, another inmate.
This book follows their story with the horrors they all endured and gives
a very interesting but different view of life in the concentration camps. This was all the more valuable to me because my step mother was in Auschwitz but would never speak about it.
