Red Rising

I read this book without knowing anything about the plot, and I'm glad I did.
There is a lot of great world building and action. Battles galore.

Bringing to the Calgary April BookCrossing meetup.
Picked up this book at the Calgary BookCrossing April meet-up. I've been wanting to read this book for a while now, so I just had to snatch it up.
I was interested in reading this book because I had heard it was set on Mars, but there's so much more going on. I hate to describe Red Rising by referencing other book series, but there's a bit of Harry Potter in it, a bit of The Hunger Games, a bit of Ender's Game. I was a little annoyed with the ending; it felt a little rushed and some events were summed up rather than shown. At some points, I was wondering what it this all leading, too, but I guess that's the point of a trilogy. Everything can't be solved in the first book. So I'm definitely willing to check out the rest of the series.
Passing on this book to the next reader at the Calgary BookCrossing May meet-up.
Picked up at the May meeting!
Taken to the November meeting! First in an interesting new series in a similar vein to Hunger Games.

picked up at the Calgary Nov. 2022 meeting
Picked this up (along with WAY too many books) at the September meetup at Cravings.
I listened to this book and it was pretty interesting. Life on Mars and under Mars. The different "castes" that people are in. Looking forward to the next two books.
I am taking this to the October meetup at Cravings.
Picked up at the March 2024 Book Crossing meeting.
