Rest in Pieces

I bought this yesterday at Friends of Lake Villa Library used book sale for a quarter.
c. 1992 -- 347 pages -- Paperback -- #2 in the Mrs. Murphy Mystery -- written with Sneaky Pie Brown -- Illustrations by Wendy Wray
Back Cover: Mrs. Murphy thinks the new man in town is the cat's meow. Maybe she should think again.
Small towns don't take kindly to strangers -- unless the stranger happens to be a drop-dead gorgeous and seemingly unattached male. When Blair Bainbride comes to Crozet, VA, the local matchmakers lose no time in declaring him perfect for their newly divorced postmistress, Mary Minor "Harry" Haristeen. Even Harry's tiger cat, Mrs. Murphy, and her Welsh Corgi, Tee Tucker, believe he smells A-okay. Could his one little imperfection be that he's a killer?
Blair becomes the most likely suspect when the pieces of a dismembered corpse begin turning up around Crozet. No one knows who the dead man is, but when a grisly clue makes a spectacular appearance in the middle of the fall festivities, more than an early winter snow begins chilling the blood of Crozet's very best people.
That's when Mrs. Murphy, her friend Tucker, and her human companion Harry begin to sort through the clues ... only to find themselves a whisker away from becoming the killer's next victims.
Offered on "Another purr-r-fect" book relay on 4/22.

Came in yesterday's mail. My mom's got first dibs on it, and I'll be sure to pry a journal entry out of her before either reading it myself, or passing on to another BCer. Thanks for sharing cyber-librarian! :)
I'm not going to have time to read this, but my mom did and she *loved* it! Another fabulous Mrs. Murphy mystery from Rita Mae and Sneaky Pie Brown. I'm a cat lover, and corgis are my favorite dog breed, so these books are extra special.

It was fast! The book arrived already. I'll read it in near future. Thank you very much, Dani75!
Ohoh, this book has been hiding behind other books on my bookshelf by far too long! Now it is the time to start reading it. Especially as I just read the first book of this series and I know one who is wishing to read this too.
I remember being a bit confused about cats and dog and other animal talking to each other when I read the first of these books. It was not the first in the series. Anyway it does not bother me at all anymore. On the contrary, I enjoy the animals - even Flatface!
This is my # 26 (100) in

Second book of the series. I liked this much more than the first one, probably because the characters were more familiar now. Also the story was somehow more exciting than the first one. I am going to read more of these books when I can get them :) And sending this to hippolein now.
Thank you very much, the books arrived safely in Helsinki today (poor person that delivers our mail these days...).
Now remember to read the other book first ...
