I'm looking forward to reading this book by the author of Bel Canto, a book I loved.

Journal Entry 2 by Secretariat at Carlsbad, California USA on Saturday, September 15, 2018
I thoroughly enjoyed this character-driven novel. If you are not a fan of character-driven fiction, don't even bother to begin this one. Many of the most important parts of this book are thoughts in the mind of Sabine, who has to try to make sense of a man she knew and loved for 22 years, but apparently really knew nothing about. After Parsifal's death, Sabine learns that the family history he had unwillingly given her was all a lie. When she agrees to speak to his family if they call, she opens a Pandora's box into Parsifal/Guy's life and the lives of his family before and after his abandonment of them. I enjoyed Sabine and thought she was very courageous in stepping into the unknown life of Guy and his family, little knowing their life or the damage they had caused Guy or been caused by him. This book absolutely absorbed me from page 1.
