What a nice book. I couldn't put it down. Hooray for heat waves and lo g, hot, sleepless nights

I received a bookbox from bloedengel with a lot of books for reading and/or releasing. This one is going on Mount TBR for a while, because I think I'll enjoy it a lot. Thanks!!
It is a promising book, but it doesn't always deliver. There were very exciting parts in it. The scene surrounding the strawberry patch, for instance, had the hairs on my neck standing up. However I was very annoyed at the indecisiveness Alice displays. I have a problem with deciding as well, but when I finally reach a decision I stick to it. Alice doesn't. She doesn't seem to really decide anything, she just rolls over and plays 'dead'. Or at least that is how it seemed to me. The ending was a little too convenient for me as well, but I must say that the author does show promise. There were definately parts of the book that drew me in, but the other parts just left me a little ... 'meh'.
Thanks for sending it to me, bloedengel, and for sending it on its way, brunton11. I'll let the book travel further!
