when I first started this I thought it was funny & planned to pass it along to one of my friends who has a similar way of looking at life. But the more I read, the more it seemed sort of tragic. The narrator's relationship with her parents especially. And the fact that in describing her year, she focuses pretty much entirely on her dating life. One of the most interesting aspects of herself was her glancing references to lesson plans she was creating for her high school art students, or even to her own art projects. But these things were only mentioned in passing. It all ended up being kind of depressing.
