I hadn't read Jane Eyre in about 10 years, so it was good to come back to it. I found the parts of Jane's childhood - especially the time with the Reed family - to be more powerful than I remembered: Bronte captures childhood anger and injustice so well. Since I mast read it, I'd gone on to read Bronte's other books, and there's bits that echo The Professor in Jane Eyre. Such a wonderful novel.
