This is not an ordinary book: it's a BookCrossing book! BookCrossing books are world travelers - they like to have adventures and make new friends...and every once in a while they even write home to say what they've been doing.

Subtitle: My True Life Adventures Coming of Age with the New York Yankees
Hardcover with dust jacket from the Friends of the McCully-Mōʻiliʻili Library; larger photo here.
The Yankees aren't my favorite team, but it's always nice to have baseball-themed books to release during the season!

Saturday, February 24, 2018: (the release note incorrectly says the book was released at Kahala Mall - probably because I tried to release it using a mobile device while we were still at the stadium...and am not very good at doing it that way.)
This book was actually left upstairs on the third base side of UH Manoa's Murakami Stadium during today's doubleheader against BYU - see release photo. (Larger photo here.)
Released for Secretariat's 2018 NJABBIC Challenge (week 8: alliterative author names).

Please take a moment to make a journal entry and let this book's previous readers know that it's safe with you.
How and where did you find the book? What did you think of it? What are you going to do with it next?
It's now your book, for you to do with as you please: keep it, pass it to a friend, or maybe even leave it where someone else can find it!
If you've ever wondered where your books go after they leave your hands, join BookCrossing and you may find out: you'll be able to follow your books as new readers make journal entries - sometimes from surprisingly far-flung locations.
BookCrossing: making the whole world a library!
UPDATE: found and journaled - thank you very much. Happy reading! :)

We found this gem at a University of Hawaii vs BYU Baseball game in the Les Murakami Stadium. Having followed the Yankees since my childhood days, the first half of the book has brought back some great memories. Looking forward to reading the rest of the book and then passing it on to another Yankee fan on the mainland.
