I really enjoyed this book. Well written. This is the 1st of the Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series. I look forward to reading them all.

The 1st line of this book is "I was 15 when I met Sherlock Holmes,......"

This novel is being released at the February BCinDC meet-up in the memory of Becky the daughter of fellow BC'er ResQGeek. Becky loved animals , especially horses and cats. She loved reading Nancy Drew novels.She was born on Valentine's day. She would be 17 yo this year. Her favorite colors were red & pink. This book has a red cover. I believe Becky would truly enjoy the Laurie King, Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes mysteries.

I cannot resist Sherlock Holmes. And having the first in this series fall into my lap meant I definitely had to take it home with me!
