Journal Entry 1 by goatgrrl from New Westminster, British Columbia Canada on Monday, March 29, 2004
My first Kingsolver novel -- I enjoyed this book very much, and it piqued my curiosity to learn more about the history of Zaire. The Poisonwood Bible was shortlisted for the Orange Prize for Fiction in 1999.

Journal Entry 3 by Rockin from Vancouver, British Columbia Canada on Thursday, April 15, 2004
I got this book when I went to pick up the English Patient (no, goatgrrl, you are not the only person on the planet who has not read it!) - I loved the movie so much. The person who released it recommended it to me and I just had to peek at it - I'm tempted to put it on the top of my "to be read" stack. I'm finishing up my MBA right now, so my reading for enjoyment has really been cut back. Come July, I'll be doing nothing else!
