In an effort to start some de-cluttering, I went through my To Be Read bookshelf and pulled out 10 books I could pass on unread. This was one of those!

I think I started this at one point years ago, got distracted, put it down, and never started again. Hopefully it can find a new reader with better focus!

I was the last in line for emmejo’s most recent Otherworldly book box. I didn’t realize the box was lost in my basement in August and only recently discovered as we were packing up items for the library. emmejo is in the process of moving so we agreed that I would pass along those that we won’t read. I apologize for not moving them along sooner!

Santiago is rumored to exist in the Outer Frontier. He is the most wanted man in the known galaxy, but very few people have ever seen him. In fact, people aren’t even sure what his real name is as Black Orpheus had taken it upon himself to put many individuals into verse, changing names as he went.

Sebastian “Songbird” Cain has decided that he will be the bounty hunter to bring Santiago in. When he learns that “The Angel” has come to the Outer Frontier, he knows he is in a race if he wants to receive the bounty.

Along the way, Sebastian begrudgingly teams up with individuals who convince him they can help him. Or, in the case of Virtue, convince him that the ultimate goal is the same but the purpose is different. Virtue wants to be the first journalist to write a story on Santiago.

The story is told from several different perspectives, as we encounter those hunting Santiago. I honestly feel I should have seen the ending much sooner than I did, but that allowed me to enjoy the book even more.

This is the first book in a series. I felt it was a self contained book. As I enjoyed it, if I come across the other books I will read them. However, I will not go out of my way to seek them out.
