I got this hardcover at a local Dollar Store, intrigued by the cover-art and title. It's an anthology of stories that range from domestic tragedies to whimsical science fiction. Among my favorites:

"Shirley Temple Three" posits a technology that permits the resurrection of long-extinct creatures, but under very strict laws (apparently the folks in this world took the lessons of Jurassic Park very seriously) - only one of each species is allowed to live. When one of the employees decides to rescue a twin dwarf woolly mammoth by bringing it home to his mother, things get... very weird - all the more so as the story's from the mother's point of view, and her biased attitude towards her rather feckless son changes as she spends more time with the little mammoth...

"Saint Possy" is about a couple who find a very strange skull in the attic of their house, along with some old and unidentified photos; a nice quick little Weird Tale.

"Videos of People Falling Down" takes descriptions of the kinds of pratfalls that wind up on slapstick TV shows and YouTube channels, and uses them to frame a sketch of relationships.

"More Soon" is about a man who's at the airport to collect the casket with his late brother's body in it - but it seems the casket never arrived. The story goes from a frustrating "lost luggage" situation to something more ominous when the reasons for the delay come to light...

"The Hall of Small Mammals" has a simple setup - a man's taking his girlfriend's young son to the zoo to see a special exhibit - but it turns into a lovely little nightmare-in-real-life, with long lines, poor planning, short tempers and lapses in judgement.

I left this book in this Little Free Library on the Harvard University grounds; hope someone enjoys it!
