I got this softcover from the ongoing book sale at the Reading MA public library. It includes descriptions of the many different kinds of pasta there are, and offers some tasty ways to use them - with the emphasis on dishes to be served cold, as in pasta salads and other variations.

Among those that stood out to me: Spicy Fried Rice Sticks, in which rice vermicelli (aka mai fun) is fried and seasoned, becoming a crispy snack; the exquisitely simple pasta with fresh basil, tomato, and parmesan; a Greek-style pasta salad with feta and olives; and a Provencal version with eggplant and sweet peppers.
