This Book is Currently in the Wild!
3 journalers for this copy...
I found this a real struggle to get through, not sure why as the story itself was pretty decent. I’ll read more from the series if they come my way but won’t be actively seeking them out.

Putting into “world of crime” bookbox
Again, not an author I've read but I've taken this one out to give it a go. Let's see how I get on but tbr for now.
This one did not get far in its journey 3vie!!
PS. Great bookmark and I'll keep it with the book as it makes sense (despite being Chinese in origin, I think).

When I saw this I thought I had not heard of the author but on starting the book itself, I realised that I had read the earlier 'Nefertiti The Book of the Dead'!
The story is quite decent and the language is very modern creating a strange otherworldly feel, but then again why not use language in a way which is understood in these times. A lot of conjecture and convenient coincidences bound together with deduction to conjure a fairly cohesive plotline which largely makes sense. The research into that epoch in Egypt is obviously thorough and is a neat correlation to modern times and reads well.
Interesting and a little different from the usual.
No real plans for this at present but who knows where it will go next?
