8 out of 10

Another French pocket version of an early 19th century French detective novel, published by Labyrinthes le masque in 2003.
Don't be mistaken: Gaboriau influenced authors like Conan Doyle and Wilkie Collins. So find a copy of his four best detective novels and you are in for a good read. Dossier 113 is one of these four.
In Dossier 113, Gaboriau's famous detective Lecoq and his team have to solve who stole a considerable amount of money from a safe at a bank and why. While trying to get to the bottom of the affair, they uncover love affairs.
For those interested: Gaboriau based his cocky super-detective Lecoq on a real person, who was a criminal before joining Paris police: Vidocq.
