fabulous for a women's book club. Set in the 1960's, the book revolves around 20 something white women, with their "help" - black maids. One of the single girls, ostracized by her peers, living with her parents, whirling with thoughts about writing and given a chance to write something for publication from a NY book editor, sets to writing down the stories of 13 black women who work as maids in the white households - all the good and the bad. Funny, tearful, and just downright fabulous book.

Wishlist book. Enjoy!

Very well written. brought out emotions, and made me think. Came to me with a message at the perfect time in my life.
