Started reading this book today. I've been looking forward to reading this book by Canadian singer Jann Arden and am happy to have this book as the one I am ending 2017 with, and starting the new year of 2018.

What a wonderful book to start off a new year with! Jann's words of hope and encouragement, her humour and her never-ending love for her mother resonate on every page throughout this lovely book. The reader feels as though Jann is sitting with them at her kitchen table, along with her mother, sipping on a cup of tea with dinner cooking in the oven and talking together, heart to heart, about the most important things our hearts can talk about in Life. It is a book of warmth and love, filled with photos and recipes from Jann's own kitchen that she is sharing with all of us.

Passed this book on to my sister, Maranlin, for her to read. Enjoy!

This is a beautifully written memoir about Jann Arden's journey with her Mom through Alzheimer Disease. She speaks of her despair at what is happening to her Mom, but also the lessons she herself learns along the path as they find their way through their "new normal". This is typically Jann Arden as the story is told with complete honesty, sharing her sadness , but also her joy and humour. The book is beautifully illustrated with photos and includes Jann's favourite recipes.
