The third in the Alex Delaware series. They are interesting thrillers.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
On the groaning bookshelves.
What a gift as I finish reading the first in the series, I find the next 2.
Child psychologist, Dr. Alex Delaware gets a call in the middle of the night from a patient he has seen in the past but feels that he let the boy down. Now, Jamey Cadmus is in a psychological hospital and begs for help. When Delaware arrives at the hospital, he finds that Jamey has escaped. When he tries to look into the treatment Jamey was receiving, he's stalled. The following day, Jamey is accused of being the lavender slasher killer. When he peers into a family’s troubled history and Jamey’s brilliant, tormented mind, the psychologist puts himself at the heart of a high-profile case. Because Alex knows that in a realm of money, loss, and madness, something terrible pushed Jamie over the edge—or else someone is getting away with murder.

Disappointing. Having enjoyed the first and pretty much the second, I found this one boring. It is not a thriller but a psychology text book. I still have some pages to get through but that is a struggle. I don't let myself leave any book unfinished!

There were many discussions including detailed talks about drugs and prescriptions, and some scientific items. Alex even talked to his friend about bonds and financial stuff, therefore it artificially elongated the story.
