This is a great ghost story. Not horror, but a dark page-turner full of secrets, surprises and lingering spirits. I mostly enjoyed reading the chapters involving the ghosts, Sandra and Alice. There were quite a few "oh, wow!" moments in their stories, which made up for having to deal with the unlikeable characters Caroline and Minna. In the end, I had a few unanswered questions, and while reading I thought there were too many distracting and unappealing descriptions of smells and body parts, but I was able to overlook those things because I really loved the unique storyline. Reading this book was a great way to spend a cold winter weekend.
